I’m Konrad Braun born in 2003, a cinematographer, camera operator and photographer from Berlin, currently also based in Vienna. My work moves between documentary, commercial, editorial, and live-performance environments, combining technical precision with a strong focus on atmosphere and visual storytelling.
I am currently studying Film, Photography, and Design at Die Graphische Wien while working across a variety of professional productions. Alongside my studies, I have worked as a camera operator, editor, and content creator at Volkstheater Wien, contributing to productions directed by Kay Voges and Jonathan Meese. I have also worked on commercial productions with Zauberberg Productions, Mercedes-Benz and Domino's, editorial projects for Faces Magazine, live sessions for Spotlight x Adidas, and numerous independent music videos, documentaries, and video art projects.
In addition to my motion work, I have been the sole product photographer for Wolt Austria since 2023, creating commercial imagery for a wide range of brands and restaurants.
My practice is shaped by a fascination with both traditional and emerging image-making technologies. While deeply rooted in analog photography and filmmaking, I am equally interested in digital workflows, AI environments, and contemporary visual tools. For me, every project begins with choosing the right medium to create a distinct visual language.
Technically, I am experienced with a wide range of professional camera systems, including the ARRI Amira, RED cinema cameras, Canon EOS Cinema systems, and Sony Cinema Line cameras. I also have hands-on experience operating camera cranes, including the Technocrane and Proaim Scissor Crane systems, enabling precise and dynamic camera movements for live-performance, commercial, and cinematic productions.I also have hands-on experience working with analog motion picture formats, including 16mm film and the ARRI Arriflex platform.
Whether operating handheld in a documentary environment or working within a fully equipped cinema production, I approach each project with a balance of technical knowledge, adaptability, and creative intent.
